General Recommendations:

- Tell the teacher if you are pregnant, or have any conditions or injuries.

- Come to class with an empty stomach.

- No need to stretch before or after practice; you will get all you need during practice.

- Try to refrain from carrying on a conversation with other students in the practice room; wait until after practice to connect with other like minded yogi’s ;) when in the practice room try to direct your focus on your yoga practice.

- No need to ever get off your mat to do certain postures – the entire practice can and should be done on your mat.

- Try to practice even if you don't have the energy or the time to do the whole sequence; A little practice is a lot better than none.

- If you are limited time wise, cut your practice shorter so you don't have to rush and give yourself ample time to do the whole finishing sequence.

-Don't be afraid to sweat profusely. It is part of the cleansing and purifying process.

-Don't be afraid to feel tired and experience difficulties. Direct your attention on the breathing and don't aim for external perfection as you do the asanas (postures). Observe the movements of the mind without implication or judgment. Ask yourself how it feels and smile often.
